Crews recovered a body from Airport Channel in San Leandro Bay Saturday morning, Oakland fire officials said.
Jet skiers first reported an emergency along the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline near Doolittle Drive about 11:50 a.m., Oakland Fire Department Battalion Chief Heather Mozdean said.
When fire crews arrived, they recovered a body from the water and confirmed that the person was dead, Mozdean said. The Alameda County coroner was called to the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
