A male body was found Wednesday afternoon in the San Francisco Bay near the border of San Francisco and San Mateo counties, officials said.
San Mateo County sheriff's officials said police and firefighters at around 2:30 p.m. were working to recover a body floating face down just over a mile east of Oyster Point. The person was wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans.
A marine unit was called to the scene and transported the body to Coyote Point. The body was then picked up by the coroner. Officials said a medical examiner will need to run tests to determine age and identification.
