Body of One Lost Fisherman Found at Pigeon Point

Officials did not say which man was found, the other remains missing

The body of one of the fishermen lost after their boat capsized off of San Mateo, has been found.

The body was found by family members who were doing a shore search of their own, north of Pigeon Point.

San Mateo Sheriff's office has taken over the investigation.

Officials did not say which man was found. The other remains missing.

The U.S. Coast Guard on Monday resumed searching for two fishermen who were separated from a pair of fishing buddies Sunday and were lost in the waters along the San Mateo County coast.

Two of the men made it safely to shore, but two others, who were not wearing life jackets, went missing.  Coast guard officials said their 23-foot fishing boat capsized a mile of the coast on Sunday about 5:30 a.m. south of Half Moon Bay. A big wave hit the boat and caused it to capsized. The Coast Guard didn't get word about the missing fishermen until about six hours later.
