Britney's Bay Area Stop In Jeopardy

Britney Spears' Femme Fatal tour may have a fatal ending before it starts.

Britney announced yesterday she was hitting the road, starting things off in Sacramento and San Jose in June. Hours after the announcement, the other half of her double bill, Enrique Iglesias, dropped out.

There are a lot of rumors floating around about why, according to Billboard. One is that he wants a bigger share of the box-office receipts. The other is that Enrique's simply too big to headline for Britney.

We don't know the real answer, but we do know Enrique is out. His people told Reuters, "Unfortunately, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears will not be touring together. Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album Euphoria. Enrique has a great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused anyone."

Enrique is supposed to be on the road until six days before the Spears tour is supposed to start.

The Femme Fatal tour starts on June 17 in Sacramento and June 18 at HP Pavilion. Ticketmaster is listing tickets for $96 - $372.75.
