CHP Officer Rescues Stranded Bird on Busy Sonoma County Street

A Santa Rosa CHP officer took his oath to serve and protect very seriously, and it included rescuing a stranded blue jay in Sonoma County.

Officer Richard Adams (pictured above) had just cleared a stop on River Road when he noticed an immobilized bird standing on the street.

He stopped traffic, picked up the bird, and held it all the way to a local bird rescue center.
