A northbound Caltrain struck and killed a person on the tracks at the Charleston Avenue crossing in Palo Alto early Tuesday.
Spokeswoman Christine Dunn said as of about 9 a.m., both north- and southbound tracks re-opened following the 5:35 a.m. fatality. None of the 55 passengers or crew were injured, she said.
Passengers onboard Train 103 were taken to East Meadow Drive, where they will be able to get off the train and board another train.
Caltrain riders can expect major delays to the morning commute.
