A passenger train has struck a vehicle on the tracks at Broadway Avenue in Burlingame, according to Caltrain officials.
SamTrans spokesperson JaymeAckemann said the driver turned onto the tracks accidentally and was disoriented. The driver then abandoned the vehicle when they realized a train was approaching.
Caltrain reported the collision on Twitter shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Commuters in the Burlingame area were advised to take the SamTrans ECR line, which serves El Camino Real from Daly City to Palo Alto.
No information on injuries is available yet.
