Campbell Bank Robbed at Gunpoint

The FBI and Campbell police are investigating after a bank robbery at the US Bank at the intersection of South Bascom and East Campbell avenues.

Police were notified of the robbery around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday. Two men wearing black masks entered the bank, pulled guns and jumped over the counter demanding money, according to police.

Police said the men escaped in a a red GMC Sierra pickup truck with another man at the wheel.

Campbell police have not said how much money the thieves got away with.

The getaway vehicle was reported stolen from Watsonville on Tuesday.

Police released descriptions of the suspects late Wednesday afternoon:

  • Suspect 1: White or Hispanic male, mid-20’s to early 30’s. dark hooded sweater, 5’8" to 5’10", medium build
  • Suspect 2: White or Hispanic male, mid-20’s to early 30’s, wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, 5’6" or 5’7", heavy set
  • Getaway driver: Hispanic male in his late 20’s, heavy set, possibly bald
