Car Drives Into SF Bus Shelter; 2 Critically Injured

Two people were critically injured Friday night when a car drove into a bus shelter at Mission and Silver streets, according to San Francisco police.

A vehicle struck a bus shelter at the intersection shortly after 9:30 p.m., hitting both a pedestrian and a pole, according to Sgt. Danielle Newman.

The pedestrian and the driver of the vehicle both received life-threatening injuries, Newman said.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
