Chauncey Bailey Jury Still Deliberating

The jury has been meeting for nearly three weeks.

The jury deciding the fate of two Oakland men in a triple murder trial tied to a former community group is moving at a pace most court observers agree is slow. On Tuesday the group asked for another review of key testimony.

The court is re-reading testimony Tuesday by the confessed gunman in two of the murders who alleged that former Your Black
Muslim Bakery head Yusuf Bey IV ordered the killings and that bakery associate Antoine Mackey participated. Jurors want to review gunman Devaughndre Broussard's testimony that Mackey fatally shot one of the victims, Michael Wills.

Under a plea deal, Broussard admitted to being the gunman who killed journalist Chauncey Bailey and another man. Broussard
testified at trial that Bey had ordered Bailey's death to stop an investigative story on the bakery's financial woes.

The seven-woman, five-man jury began deliberating on May 23.
