Cherry Blossom Festival Kicks Off in San Francisco's Japantown

One of the biggest cherry blossom festivals kicked off Saturday in San Francisco.

Hundreds of people, including NBC Bay Area's Mike Inouye and Robert Handa, showed up at Japantown to enjoy some Japanese culture and live music.

The Grand Parade is scheduled for Sunday, April 19 starting at City Hall and ending in Japantown.

The festival is free to the public. Those who want to learn more about the new attraction in 2015's event, can do so at sfcherryblossom.org.
