Child Dies After Warriors Game in LA

The boy was in a luxury suite at the LA arena during Sunday's Lakers Warriors game

A boy died after a fall from a luxury suite Sunday following  the Lakers' game against the Golden State Warriors at Staples  Center, a police spokesman said. It was not immediately clear how the boy plunged over the low wall that fronts the box.

The boy was identified Monday by the coroner. Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale told the Associated Press that 2-year-old Lucas Anthony Tang of Garden Grove died at a hospital Sunday night. The official cause of death is awaiting further investigation.

Tang fell out of the luxury suite into  the lower bowl, which is a fall of about 50 feet.

Witnesses told the LA Times the boy was moving his arms and legs when he was placed on a stretcher. He was taken to USC Medical Center, where he died, Sgt. Frank Alvelais  said.

Some witnesses said the child may have been taking a picture with a camera or cell phone in the moments before he fell.
