The SFCWC 2011 broke the records with 5,050 entries from 23 states and continues to uphold the title of the "Largest Competition of American Wines in the World."
At the recent judging in Cloverdale (Sonoma County), NBC Bay Area's Today in the Bay offered up a chance of a lifetime for two lucky viewers to sit, sip and spit along-side the fifty plus judges as they selected the sweepstake winners for the 2011 competition.
Patricia Wilson, executive director for the San Francisco Make-a-Wish Foundation who loves wine and admits to drinking wine "all the time" and Laura Christensen, clinic nurse from Ukiah who loves wine, hunting, fishing and camping, but not in that order.
Both women participated enthusiastically and likely entertained the official judges around them.
