City Officials Meet to Discuss Future of Oakland Coliseum

The Oakland Coliseum might not be the home of the Raiders anymore.

Oakland government officials, the Raiders, and the Coliseum Authority will meet Monday to discuss a plan to keep the team in the East Bay.

Businessman Floyd Kephart is behind the project which includes a new stadium for the Raiders. If Kephart’s plan is rejected by people at the meeting, Oakland can pursue other options for the football team.

Raiders owner Mark Davis said the city has until the end of the year to find a solution.

He said the team is also open to moving back to the Los Angeles area.
