Concord Police Investigating Drive-By Shooting

Police are currently canvassing a Concord neighborhood and seeking surveillance video in the area after a drive-by shooting was reported Sunday morning, according to a police spokesman.

The shooting occurred around 11:15 a.m. on Clayton Road between Maria Avenue and the Contra Costa Canal Trail.

Responding officers were unable to locate any victims, police spokesman Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.

Officers blocked off two homes with police tape, although there was no apparent damage to the homes. Additionally, at least eight evidence markers were seen on the street and sidewalk, indicating multiple shots were fired.

The suspect was seen fleeing in a white compact, four-door car, according to Blakely.
