Police have arrested a couple in connection to a home-invasion robbery in the Almaden Valley neighborhood in San Jose.

Christopher Nguyen and his girlfriend, Tiffany Nguyen -- both 19 and San Jose residents -- were arrested on suspicion of robbery, false imprisonment, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to police.

The July 30 home invasion occurred in the 7000 block of Anjou Creek Court and at the time frightened the neighborhood.

Police said an armed burglar, later identified as Christopher Nguyen, got into a home by breaking a back door. The burglar then tied up a 17-year-old high school student, who was home alone, and demanded cash.

Tiffany Nguyen served as a lookout during the home invasion, police said.
