A San Francisco man is still missing after a boat he was in capsized in Lake Del Valle on Friday evening, East Bay Regional Park District officials said Monday.
Raghavendra Indugula, 31, was boating for a team-building activity with Salesforce co-workers in the lake south of Livermore. East Bay Regional Park District spokeswoman Carolyn Jones said it was reported that the boat he was in capsized at about 7 p.m. Friday. No one had been wearing life jackets, she said.
"At some point the boat started taking on water," Jones said. "Everyone jumped out and swam to shore. Once to shore they realized one in the party was missing."
Salesforce issued a statement about Indugula's disappearance.
"Salesforce is aware that there is an investigation into a boating accident involving Raghavendra Indugula, who is a contractor in Salesforce's IT organization. Our thoughts are with Raghu's family and friends during this time. We are receiving updates from local authorities, but have no further information to share at this time," the company said.
Employees with the San Francisco-based cloud computing company were being shuttled across the lake in multiple groups and the capsized boat was the final shuttle.
The boat was over capacity when it started to fill up with water, Jones said.

She said the area of the lake where people leaped out of the boat and Indugula went missing reaches depths of up to 50 feet, making it particularly difficult for dive crews to conduct searches.
The crews searched Saturday and Sunday for the entire day and continued Monday, Jones said.
Crews may continue the search on Tuesday. Park district detectives are also investigating the incident.
Officials said the boat is privately owned.
Indugula's LinkedIn profile shows he has been a digital marketing operations specialist with Salesforce since April 2015. Before that, his profile shows, he was an operations engineer with Cox Communications in Atlanta for two years.
