Firefighters Contain Fire at National Defense Storage in Livermore

Fire crews have contained a 5-acre vegetation fire at a national defense storage in Livermore.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 3:50 p.m. and were able to extinguish the blaze just after 6 p.m., officials said.

Cal Fire Capt. Matt Milojevich told NBC Bay Area the vegetation blaze burned at Site 300, which sits across from the Carnegie off-road park and about four miles west of 580 on Corral Hollow Road. The area is monitored by the federal government, Milojevich said.

A mobile home was damaged in the blaze and a firefighter was transported to a hospital for a minor injury.
