Curry Duo Zooms Around Sonoma Raceway With IndyCar Legend

Ayesha Curry acted as the grand marshal for the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma

Steph Curry has lightning quick handles on the court, but he's not nearly as fast as an IndyCar.

Steph and his wife, Ayesha, were treated to a pre-race spin around Sonoma Raceway before Sunday's GoPro Grand Prix with none other than IndyCar legend Mario Andretti, according to INDYCAR.

The adrenaline was pumping for Ayesha after her jaunt around the 2.385 road coarse, ever after joking that she thought she was "going to lose my life."

"It was thrilling," she told IndyCar. "I had such a great time. It was crazy."

The exhilarating drive ramped up the nerves for her husband as well.

"That was unbelievable," Steph told IndyCar. "It was amazing, man, like nothing I've ever experienced before, for sure."

The two-time defending NBA MVP, despite his international allure and sports world stardom, was actually in the background during the IndyCar finale in wine country. Ayesha stole the show and acted as the race's grand marshal.

Being in the "backseat" was not a problem at all for Steph.

"She's got a great thing going and I am supportive of the things she's passionate about: cooking, her lifestyle platform," Curry told the Associated Press. "So to see that be recognized and give her opportunities like this to just get out and have some fun, I am happy to support her."
