OAKLAND – After tweaking his right ankle in the second quarter of Game 1 of the first-round playoff series against Houston on Saturday, Stephen Curry returned briefly after halftime before leaving for good with 9:13 left in the third quarter.

Though Curry’s ankle was re-taped at halftime, he had it re-taped once more after leaving in the third quarter. He was available to play after returning to the bench later in the quarter, according to the Warriors

Curry has had two surgeries on the ankle – May 2011 and April 2012 – and has since had no serious problems.

Curry scored 24 points in 20 minutes before sitting out the final 21 minutes.
