4,541 Customers Without Power in the Bay Area Following Rainstorm

More Than 4,500 PG&E customers are still without power in the Bay Area Wednesday afternoon following Tuesday's rainstorm.

Power is still out to 1,784 customers in the North Bay, 835 in the East Bay, 1,390 in the South Bay, 466 on the Peninsula and 66 customers in San Francisco, PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said.

In Northern and Central California, power was restored to 204,000 customers and 63,000 are still without power in Northern and Central California Wednesday morning, Sarkissian said. Power was restored to 90 percent of the customers statewide within six hours or less, Sarkissian said.

PG&E is working through Friday to restore power but rain is forecast through the weekend, Sarkissian said.
