Danville House Fire Sparked by Arson, Causes Damage Worth $210,000: Investigators

A two-alarm house fire in Danville Saturday night has been determined to be a result of arson, according to investigators.

The blaze was reported at 8:21 p.m. in the 300 block of W. Linda Mesa Avenue, officials said.

Witnesses told investigators that prior to the fire, they saw someone throw an object at the home and flee the scene at a high rate of speed.

Firefighters had the blaze under control within 30 minutes of arrival, officials said.

The damage to the home has been estimated at $210,000 but the structure was empty at the time. Officials said no injuries were reported.

No arrests have been made, and the case is still under investigation.
