A well-dressed man dubbed the "Bluetooth Bandit" -- so-named for his ever-present technological earpiece -- is on the loose in San Francisco, the San Francisco Examiner reported. The Bluetooth Bandit has nabbed credit and debit cards from purses and wallets in restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and on Muni, and has made transactions with his thefts as soon as 15 minutes after a heist.

San Francisco Police are asking for the public's help in apprehending the Bluetooth Bandit. He is described as a black man in his 40s standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches. He weighs between 160 and 175 pounds and has short hair, police said.

He's wanted in at least eight confirmed thefts and is a suspect in at least six more, police said.

He has nabbed iPhones and other gadgets as well as credit and debit cards. In one instance, a credit card stolen from an eatery was used to buy a computer at the Apple Store and two phones from T-Mobile shortly thereafter.
