Deadly Campbell Hit and Run Case Goes Unsolved

A grieving South Bay family says its frustrated due to a lack of answers concerning their son's death.

Jacksen Dakota Kjeld Madsen was killed three days before Christmas when he was struck by a vehicle near the corner of San Thomas Expressway and Budd Avenue in Campbell. It happened in the early morning hours of Dec. 22.

The only clue police have to go on is that the driver was in a white GMC with a missing headlight and possible front end damage.

The CHP told NBC Bay Area they are working to get more leads in the case.

The family told NBC Bay Area it initially thought the Campbell police department was handling the case, but later learned it was actually being handled by the CHP.

Madsen's sister wrote about the incident and the family's loss for the Campbell Patch.  You can read that here.

The family is hoping someone will come forward who knows something.
