One man died in a one-alarm mobile home fire near Hayward on Friday morning. A neighbor told NBC Bay Area the man wore a cast and was found near the door.
The man was in his 50s and had lived in his home for at least a decade, the neighbor said.
Firefighters were called out to the home in the 20600 block of Fuchsia Court in the Cherryland neighborhood shortly after 3 a.m., Alameda County fire fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.
The blaze was knocked down about 20 minutes later and the cause is under investigation.
