Debris Falls as Construction Crews Demolish Building in San Francisco's Financial District

As a building was set to be demolished in San Francisco's Financial District on Monday morning, some extra debris fell, causing firefighters to race to the scene and building investigators to inspect what happened.

The fallen debris was reported at 8:20 a.m. near the corner of Pine and Montgomery streets, according to the fire department.

NBC Bay Area's chopper flew overhead, showing that some of the dusty concrete had pushed out into the street. But the images did not show a barrage of emergency vehicles.

No injuries were immediately reported.

The city's Department of Building Inspection is investigating the incident.
