Dispute With Chicken: Man Arrested After Raw Poultry Attack

A Sausalito man used raw chicken as a weapon against a friend, according to authorities.

A Sausalito man is in jail after he allegedly used an odd tactic in a dispute with a friend: raw chicken.

Drew Smith Warner, 49, was arrested Monday after allegedly throwing bloody poultry and a candle holder at a woman in Marin City during an argument, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

The woman, Smith's friend and "residential health care aide," according to the newspaper, was found "distraught and soaked in blood" by sheriff's deputies responding to the scene.

Deputies followed a trail marked by bloody clothes to Warner, who was arrested in a waterfront park. The District Attorney's office is reviewing potential charges; meanwhile, Warner is in jail on $50,000 bail -- and, one assumes, a vegeterian diet.
