Double Homicide Reported at Twin Peaks in San Francisco

Two men are dead and one is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting early this morning in San Francisco, police said.

Officers responded at 2:06 a.m. to the Twin Peaks lookout where they found a 20-year-old man dead from gunshots and two others with gunshot wounds.

The two, a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, were taken to a hospital where the 22-year-old died, according to police.

Preliminary information indicates another man who is the suspect in the shooting targeted the three and fled, police said. There are cameras in the area, but it is unclear what they may have captured.

"It's pretty shocking, yeah, because it's so uncharacteristic of our city, you know the way our city is," said one San Francisco resident. "Because there are so many people around, it definitely seems unusual."

Anyone with information about the shooting is being asked to call the San Francisco Police Department anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and start the text with SFPD.
