A driver was critically injured Monday in a rollover crash that took out a power pole along Foothill Boulevard in Oakland.
Oakland police said the driver, who was not identified, lost control of the car near 23rd Avenue, rolling the vehicle and slamming into a power pole around 5:30 a.m.
Power lines were down and strewn around the street as emergency responders pulled the critically injured driver from the overturned car, police said. No one else was injured and no other vehicles were involved in the wreck. T
Foothill Boulevard was closed while investigators processed the scene and worked to clear the power lines and wrecked car.
