A driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into two homes in Vallejo on Sunday, according to the Vallejo Fire Department.

Firefighters, police and emergency personnel responded to a vehicle into a building at 270 Stageline Drive about 2:25 p.m., fire officials said. They arrived to find a Ford van lodged inside one home and a good portion of an adjacent home damaged from the crash.

The van was leaking gasoline and the main electrical box had been ripped from the structure, fire officials said. The driver was transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Fire officials said it appeared the man's foot somehow got stuck on the gas pedal, but the cause of the crash was still being investigated.

The crash caused about $10,000 in damages to one home and $1,000 to the second home, fire officials estimated.

    No other injuries were reported.
