Drug Charge for Kink.com CEO Acworth

Kink.com CEO Peter Acworth is spending rare time in the spotlight rather than behind it for his Feb. 1 arrest for cocaine possession.

Acworth, whose alleged massive fetish pornography empire is headquarted out of the massive SF Armory building in the Mission District, was arrested after police responded to the armory to investigate reports of gunfire, according to reports.

The arrest was first reported by Gawker.

While no guns were found and no gun-arrests were made, Acworth was patted down by police when he "did not promptly answer the door," as the Chronicle put it. Police found cocaine -- a few grams -- and he was arrested and released on $15,000 bail, according to the District Attorney.

Acworth is due back in court Feb. 27. He has pleaded not guilty. His attorney says that the arrest will amount to a "$60 mistake."
