A bicyclist died in a shooting early Saturday morning along the east shore of Oakland's Lake Merritt, police said.
The shooting happened at 12:40 a.m. in the 2000 block of Lakeshore Avenue.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired and found the victim, a man, who was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
