An elderly man who walked away from his care facility overnight in Hayward has been found.
Hayward police found Donald Kim near B Street Tuesday afternoon. Officers determined he was well enough to be taken right back to the Colonial Acres Care Home on 18905 Standish Avenue where he lives.
Apparently he did not need any medical treatment that the facility couldn't handle.
Early Tuesday morning, police were called to Colonial Acres after Donald Kim was not in his room at bed check.
Kim was last seen Monday night at 11:30 p.m. He suffers from dementia, behavioral disturbances and takes medicine for high blood pressure and chronic liver disease.
He is not familiar with the city of Hayward or the AC Transit system.
He left with no cash or credit cards.
