Emotional Roller Coaster For Giants Fans at AT&T Park

Emotions ran the gamut for San Francisco Giants fans Tuesday night at AT&T Park, from thrill and ecstasy to agony and sadness to anger and disbelief, as their team's season ended with a loss to the Chicago Cubs in the National League Division Series.

As fans streamed out of the ballpark after watching the Giants blow a 5-2 lead in the ninth inning and the Cubs celebrating a trip to the NL Championship Series, they were disappointed for sure.

"I’m really sad, really sad," one fan said. "We were up!"

But they were also grateful for yet another postseason push.

"We have a great team; great game. Next year," another fan said. "We could have done it. But I'm still a Giants fan all the way."

Some fans were confident the Giants would be back in the postseason soon enough.

"We had a great year; don't give up," another loyal fan chimed. "It doesn't have to be an even year. Gonna do it every year."
