An empty car was found atop a cliff at Devil's Slide Monday morning and it may be connected to a missing person's case out of Berkeley.
Emergency crews on the scene report they see a body at the bottom of the cliff near the car.
The first call came in about the abandoned car at 11 a.m. at Gray Whale Cove, acting sheriff's Lt. Wes Matsuura said.
"A body has been seen down the cliff," he said.
The license plate on the car matches those of a vehicle belonging to a person reported missing out of Berkeley, Matsuura said.
Authorities are attempting to retrieve the body from the cliff.
