FBI, Recording Industry Raid San Jose Home, Neighbors Say Was Hub for Pirated CD's

The FBI and the Recording Industry Association of America raided a home in East San Jose Friday morning that neighbors say was a hub for mass-producing pirated music CDs.

Four men were seen being detained before 10 a.m. on Whitton Avenue, and boxes of pallets were seen being taken out of the home. The California Highway Patrol was also present during the raid.

Neighbors say they were aware of this operation for more than two years. One woman who didn't want to speak on the record said she "wasn't surprised at all."

Matt Melcher, who works down the street, said he saw the FBI as early as 7 a.m. "Pretty crazy," he said.

The FBI has not confirmed the details of the raid to NBC Bay Area.
