Facebook to Use Personal Data to Sell Ads on Other Sites

Facebook announcing plans for de-facto outside ad network.

Facebook is rolling out another ad network -- one that will run on other, outside websites.

Re/Code reports Facebook is "reintroducing Atlas," an ad platform that will allow advertisers to buy ads "via Facebook, in properties Facebook doesn't own."

This means advertisers will know "some basic facts about you" and all the other users on the social network, which is providing advertisers the data.

The goal is to make Facebook ads "more powerful" with more data, the website reports.
