    Road Closed Due to Hazardous Spill in Fairfield

    Roads are closed after a chemical was spilled on the lanes of Chadbourne Road between Route 12 and Busch Drive. Officials advised motorists to avoid the area and the lanes are expected to be open approximately at 6 p.m.

    Chadbourne Road between State Route 12 and Busch Drive in Fairfield reopened at approximately 7:25 p.m. Saturday after being closed for more than nine hours for cleanup of a pesticide spill, police said Saturday night.

    The spill, the result of a collision involving two trucks, had closed southbound Chadbourne Road between State Route 12 and Busch Drive at about 10 a.m. Saturday, police said.

    A Solano County HazMat team and Fairfield Fire Department crews led the cleanup.
