Four people, including two children, have been displaced following a 1-alarm fire at a home in northeast San Jose late Tuesday night, according to fire officials.

The blaze was first reported at 11:13 p.m. at 2138 Bristolwood Lane, San Jose Fire Department Fire Captain Peter Caponio said. It was contained at 11:39 p.m. and extinguished at midnight Wednesday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Caponio said. The garage was destroyed and some of the interior of the home suffered smoke and water damage.

The American Red Cross is assisting the four people who were displaced. Nobody was injured.
