    Crews respond to a deadly crash in Pleasanton. (April 29, 2018)

    At least one person died following a crash along Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasanton late Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

    The crash was initially reported at 11:09 a.m. along the highway's northbound Stoneridge Drive offramp, CHP officials said.

    A vehicle reportedly went down an embankment and landed on its roof. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Around 11:45 a.m., CHP officials issued a Sig-alert closing the Stoneridge Drive offramp. CHP officials did not say when the offramp would reopen.
