FedEx Plane Lands Safely at Oakland Airport

A FedEx cargo plane landed safely at Oakland International Airport early Wednesday morning after the pilot said he has some landing problems, an airport official said.

Shortly after taking off from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in Texas at 1 a.m., one of the two pilots aboard the plane reported some hydraulic issues, said Brian Kidd, an Oakland airport spokesman.

Hydraulics, he said, are used to power plane controls including the brakes, flaps and rudder.

Still, the plane landed without a problem at 4:30 a.m. and was towed to the FedEx ramp to be repaired.
