Not everything is coming up roses at Filoli.
The Woodside country estate made famous by the '80s drama "Dynasty," and known locally for its stunning formal gardens, is facing a mass walk-out by hundreds of volunteers who disagree with a new contract absolving Filoli from liability from injury or damages sustained on the property.
Former Woodside mayor and Filoli volunteer Susan Crocker told The Almanac, "At the root of this possible mass resignation is an ill-drafted, one-sided and burdensome agreement which seems to remove Filoli from all responsibility if there is an injury to either the children or the volunteers."
Communication about the issue has been reportedly tense, with hundreds of volunteers strongly considering quitting rather than trying to work it out. At particular issue is the line, "I understand that I will be responsible for medical costs incurred by accident, illness or injury associated with my services to Filoli."
Filoli management declined comment ahead of a meeting Wednesday.
