First Alarm Fire Prompted Evacuations at Software Company Building in SF

A first alarm electric vault fire at a building in San Francisco prompted evacuations early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 9:17 a.m. on the 1019 block of Market St and it was extinguised at 10:50 a.m.

The address traces back to the headquarters of the software company Zendesk.

Zendesk's building was evacuated and no injuries were reported.

Mulitple Muni bus lines as well as the San Francisco Municipal Railway's F-Market streetcar line are being affected.
