Fire Crews Battle 1-Acre Blaze Near Grizzly Peak

    Fire crews quickly contained a 1-acre brush fire near Grizzly Peak Boulevard across from Fish Ranch Road in the East Bay hills on Thursday, fire officials said.

    Firefighters from the Moraga-Orinda Fire District responded to the report of a brush fire about 4:25 p.m. Whe they arrived, it appeared the blaze was approaching euclayptus trees as it slowly climbed a hill, fire officials said.

    The fire was contained about 4:55 p.m., the MOFD said. Crews from Cal Fire and the Oakland Fire Department also responded.
