Fire Crews Investigating Two Possible Arson Car Fires in San Francisco

    San Francisco firefighters responded to two separate car fires Monday morning within blocks of each other in the Castro neighborhood.

    Firefighters doused a truck fire just before 4 a.m. at the corner of 19th and Castro Street.

    A half hour later, firefighters were called to another fire outside a home at the corner of 18th street and Hartford.

    Arson investigators are on the scene, where five other suspicious car fires have been reported in the area in the past month.

And fire officials are investigating if a serial arsonist is on the loose. NBC Bay Area’s Christie Smith talked to a neighbor who woke up to the flames.
