Barn Destroyed, Firefighter Injured in 53-Acre Brush Fire in Livermore

A barn was destroyed in a brush fire that charred 53 acres in Livermore on Thursday, fire officials said.

The blaze, located in the area of 11680 Tesla Road, was fully contained before 8 p.m.

Cal Fire, which assisted Alameda County fire crews, said a firefighter was also injured while battling the blaze. The extent of the firefighter's injury was not immediately known.
