A blazing fire in the East Bay scorched more than 100 acres on the Altamont Pass between Livermore and Tracy, fire officials said Saturday.

Three fires off West Bound 580 and Grand Line Road converged to create the tumultuous blaze. Drivers reported having no visibility.

Traffic was snarled in the surrounding area. California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert of lanes blocked just west of Grant Line shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Fire officials deployed an air response unit just before 5 p.m. The fire was at 75 percent containment just before 6:30.
