Firefighters are investigating a fatal fire in Union City.
The one-alarm blaze was reported shortly after 3 p.m. on the 3300 block of San Carlos Way, Alameda County Fire Department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.
The fire department announced on Twitter there was a confirmed fatality from the blaze, and that a patient was transported to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
