A home was tagged as dangerous and five people were arrested by Pittsburg police after a drug bust on Wednesday.
Pittsburg police say the house had a honey oil hash lab used to extract THC, a byproduct of marijuana. Evaporating it is is dangerous because highly flammable butane gas is released in the process.
In addition to the arrests, heavy equipment was seized along with marijuana plants, 30 pounds of finished product with a street value of $750,000, according to Pittsburg police.
Police released Jeff Bellesiles and another member of the home to move things out.
Bellesiles said everyone in the home is a medical marijuana patient, so he’s not sure why they were being charged.
