Two-Alarm House Fire Overnight In Martinez

Three people and a pet dog escape safely from the flames.

Firefighters are trying to figure out the cause of a house fire overnight.

It was first reported at about 11:05 p.m. last night at a home on Trinity Place near Bryce Drive.

Arriving fire crews found heavy smoke and flames pouring out of one side of the house.  A portion of the roof collapsed.

Three people and the family dog managed to get out safely.  One woman was treated for an asthma attack at the scene.

Firefighters are at the scene this morning looking for hot spots.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
